Trapping in Maine
This is a very unique opportunity with limited booking. The Barnard Big C Ranch will take only two trapping adventures per year.
About Trapping
This opportunity abounds with almost all native fur bearing species right on the Big C Ranch.
Maine Fur Bearers are Bear, Coyote, Fox, Fisher, Martin, Weasel, Bobcat, Otter, Racoon and Muskrat.
The Big C Ranch is remarkably unique, as it has two complete stream tributaries that flow towards the Sebec River.
One can arrive at the Main Cabin, then take a GPS coordinate trail to a remote cabin. Once there, you will set your traps.
After spending an evening at the remote cabin, set traps back to Main Cabin.
Refresh for an evening or two (or getting traps local to Lodge), then reverse trek and pull traps on locations.
Trapping weeks are the second and third weeks of December.
All necessary licenses are the hunter’s responsibility and proof of a current or previous license or hunter safety course will need to be provided.
