Black Bear Hunts in Maine
Adam and Len have been guiding black bear hunts since1989, bringing in many record breaking Maine MASTC Maine Antler & Skull Trophy Club bear including many that have been registered.
About Black Bear Hunts
We primarily hunt on our own, Barnard Big C Ranch land, making this a distinctive experience.
Our sites are pre-baited starting in July, a month before hunts.
There are four weeks of bait hunting, starting the last week in August thru middle of September.
Necessary Gear List
- Weapon
- Safety harness
- Boots
- Clothing (dark camo)
- Face mask
- Scent (elimination)
- Flashlight
- Coolers and your own food supplies (nearby grocery store is 8 miles away)
All necessary licenses are the hunter’s responsibility and proof of a current or previous license or hunter safety course will need to be provided.
Pricing
$2,300 per 5 day hunt
Hunt Includes
- Active Bait with frequent bear sightings
- Tree stand and/or ground blind is provided
- Bow stands are typically 25 yd
- Rifle stands or blinds are typically 50 to 85 yds
- The option to either drive your own vehicle to bait, or if it’s a remote access bait site, guides will provide transportation to the site.
- Bait will be freshened daily
Not Included:
- Hunting Licenses - Available locally or purchased online.
- Taxidemy services - Taxidermist and meat processing locations are nearby.
